Help with FX-100

Don't shop at Wal-Mart
I am having a problem wiht FX-100 application. I have tried using it 2 different ways and I get the same result, a extremely shiny but greasy finish.

1. I sprayed FX-100 onto an applicaiton pad and worked it into the finish until gone. I followed with a plush microfiber.

2. I sprayed FX-100 directly onto the paint and worked into the paint until gone using 6 plush microfiber towels.

the car looks great in the lighting of the garage. Pull it in the sun and it looks like someone ate ribs with their bare hands and wiped them on the car. 425 takes this out, but shouldnt FX-100 finish like glass?

Thin thin application is key. I prefer the use of a pc. I then wait like an hour.

Hope it helps.

Thats different. You apply it and remove it with a PC? Do you use a pad or a bonnet?

I have to say, the car looks incredible with FX-100 and 425, it is non-metallic black and shows everything.

First thing.... (dont shoot me) Make sure you shake it up very well.

How I use FX-100....

Spray 2 - 3 times per panel, wipe around w/ MF towel until it melts into the paint. Thats it.

What are you topping with FX-100?

Natty's blue wax.

I have been using less than 1 full spray per panel. Will more fix this?

Something that helped me immensely was to transfer some FX-100 (after shaking well) to a 4 0z. "mist" bottle.

The trigger sprayer on the quart just didn't work well for me at all. I don't know if it's inherent or if I just got a bad one.

About 2-4 spritzes, depending on the size of the panel, works wonders using the fine mist. FWIW they are available @ FK-1 under accessories.

Using a "concours" type microfiber (read: expen$ive) did not yield great results but a MF with a lot of nap did the trick. This may not be necessary but I do two panels then shake the bottle to keep a good mix. Wipe it in immediately rather than letting it sit and wiping off later as LynchMob said.

I hope this helps.

Yep, constant shaking is also important as FX can separate rather quickly.

And as I suggested in the PMs, leave out bits from your routine. Try without this and that to narrow down the sensitive points.
