help whit polishing rims lips

hi......

i was polishing the aluminum lips of my rims with mothers alumminum polish but i really don´t have a good result... i´m looking for a mirror finish... they have now some little bronce color spots.. i think it´s something like the end of the mirror finish coat... i really don´t know what happend....

could somebody reffer me a good product for make this polish work and how to polish them and dont make a mess...

Many/most OEM wheels are clearcoated and you may have polished off the clearcoat.
