OK, got it right this time - sorry about the previous post.
After having my car for 12 weeks, I finally got it back from the collision center this past Thursday. I can't begin to express the disgust I have with the extremely poor job they did on my car. I rear-ended someone and the hood and front bumper/bumper cover had to be replaced (my car has an Aluminum hood and they felt it would be better to replace than to try and repair the slight buckle in the original), several other things had to be done as well. I drive a 93 Cadillac Allante, which is difficult to find parts for considering 93 was the last year and there were only a total of approximately 22,000 produced between 87 and 93, so we had to find a used hood (that wasn't a color match) that had to be prepped (needed more prep, I think). When I look at the job they did painting the hood, I'm not quite sure if I've got the terminology down correct. What I'm calling orange peel definitely is more apparent in certain lights and was a b*tch to try and capture on film, but here are a couple of pics. I'm pretty positive I've got orange peel, fish eyes, and possibly something else. Let me know your thoughts, please. I'm in the process of completing a letter to the repair center and my insurqance company covering all the things they did wrong and would like to identify this correctly.
Fisheye?
Orange Peel??
Orange Peel 2??
What's This?
Poor Job on bumper cover
Another Bad Bumper Cover Spot
Any help/thoughts are appreciated.
