After giving this some thought for some time now I have decided that we need a few more moderators here at Detail City.

Here are some of the requirements that I am looking for in Detail City moderators.

1. Unbiased and not affiliated with any product line or detail supply website.

2. Not a manufacturer or distributor of car care products.

3. Friendly. Able to work with The Fuzz and myself for the long term growth and development of Detail City.

Interested? Please respond to this thread or shoot me a PM to discuss further.

Thanks,

Dwayne

Is Tyrell's womanizing getting in the way of his work here again? :lmfao Its a good thing he is an administrator and not a moderator. I don't think he would qualify for the position at this point. lol How many mods are you looking for?

I sit on the computer at work M-F from 7:30-4:30. I usually stay logged in to DC all day. I usually check on Saturday's too. What's the requirements? What would be the responsibilities??

Never having being a moderator before, what all does the job entail?

Pretty much just enforcing the rules. Knowledge of the rules at Detail City and being in agreement with them would be a plus for anyone interested.

I may choose as many as 3 but we shall see.
An admin is able to access more and do more than a moderator but moderators are very important as well.

As someone who has been a moderator a few times before, I can tell you that its a fun job. Especially if you spend a lot of time on Detail City anyway. Basically what moderators can do is open/close, move, split, and edit threads. You can delete entire threads or just individual posts. You can even ban. :naughty DC seems to be a little more laid back than some other sites I've been on, so I would imagine that it doesn't take an act of congress to get someone banned. It is tons of fun just to be behind the scenes and do some of the things that moderators can do. If you have the time, then I would highly recommend the experience.

Well, I'm retired with plenty of time and no affiliations. I spend wayy too much time on the forums(according to the wife) and that's not likely to change. Put me in for consideration please....

I don't think I am gonna ask, I think I spend enough time on vendor/product sites to be mods there. :D

I'd do it but that's too much power for me - I'm sane enough to admit I am off kilter :lol -

(although I do like the idea of "RESPECT THE PIGGY - SAY YOU LIKE CAKE OR YOUR BANNED!")

wait....does it pay?..like in free detail supplies??? I can suspend the urge to be god like if I can get some free stuff! :flamed

I'm already an admin at my forum, I'd hate to be 'just' a moderator here :lol (or I'd love ;) )

I think me and the Fuzz will work together very well since im SMMMMOTH with the ladies like he is!!!!!!:naughty Always respect the Mullet!!!!:fuzz

Where is the Whaler? Now there is a man who commands respect!

There once was a man named Natty
Who spent so much time on-line he went batty
he chatted and posted and ate and toasted
then as a moderator he became a real fatty!

LOL

I'm having way too much fun here again!

BTW...I can already hear Steve saying I'm already a fatty :) Krispy Kremes anyone?

EASY NOW............... sit back and take a deep breath! :lmfao

WHEW!!!! I was afraid that my job was on the line. I might be interested, Dwayne, but I have to warn you that I'm affiliated with a product line.:rolling Guess that leaves me out?

Gary

P.S. I'm on my way!!!!!!
