Help selling ONR washes

Ive been doing more wash/wax recently than anything else. Ive run into some new clients that have doubts about ONR, I get weird looks during the wash. I do this part time so I dont have a truck with a tank of water and all. What is everyone here saying about ONR to help sell the product? Is anyone using visual aids or pictures to help explain the process?

Please not looking for any "Dont use ONR... etc., Ive been using ONR for over 2 years and love the product. Thanks.

Although ONR should not need to be "sold", you can market it as eco-friendly. Many of my customer's are impressed with the fact that I use only a few gallons of water to wash their car. Customer's pay for results, not the methods you choose to reach the those results.

You could show them a test spot on you own car or something.

That being said, I wouldn't let anyone wash my car with ONR. :D

Yeah ive been doing this, eco friendly, less run-off etc. They love the results had a couple people think that after just a ONR wash the car was waxed as well.

you must be using the new stuff...that is one really good point to make sure you let people know about as well! new ONR coupled with OCW (adds 5 min tops) its the ticket on lower priced, budget wash/waxes!!!

Yeah thats what I use, great combo and people are really impressed. I'm thinking of putting together a folder with some 1-page illustrations on how the products work on the physical and possibly on the chemical level.

Just do a test spot and be up front with them that YOU know the limitations of the products you carry. You have to come off as the professional that knows what tool works. If you act like they are doing you a favor by "letting" you wash their car, then you will always be second guessed.

In 16+ years of using rinseless washes (QEW then ONR), I've only had one customer specifically want me to use a hose. He liked seeing a lot of suds on his cars plus he had a RO/DI system at his house and office. Even he relented after several years and didn't care how I washed his cars. The vast majority of my customers are amazed that I can get their car so clean and looking freshly waxed with ONR (the rest simply don't care how I get their car clean) and many of them purchase ONR on their own. Seeing is believing.
