Help: Polishing Chrome Wheels

I have a customer that has some hammered chrome wheels and I can't seem to get even the slightest defect to come out. I have been using the Megs wheel cone and have tried multiple metal polishes (megs metal Polish, wenol blue, mothers chrome polish) and nothing seems to work. Any advice?

Subscribe, hope someone has answer for this. Also like add my opinion on the fact that Chrome over aluminum wheels sucks the aluminum seems to pit and bubble up so easy my old after market wheels and my brothers both pitted and blistered the chrome in 2 years. they need constant care I guess and with our schedules our daily drivers need a more durable wheel.

The lovely Saleen chrome over aluminum :(

I'd try jewelers rouge and a buffing wheel on a die grinder personally, but the top pic looks like it may be almost through the chrome. Tread carefully. None of what you've listed is enough to polish chrome. Aluminum yes, but we're dealing with chrome here.

For lack of a better description, chrome is harder than rocks and honestly I've not found a cure for all scratched chrome. That said, I have had some decent success using Mother's chrome polish and their PowerBall's and PowerCone's. Truthfully it's probably more the PowerBalls and Cones than the specific brand of polish. These also do pretty remarkable things with stainless steel. I wouldn't be surprised if this combo wouldn't help what I see here significantly.

The lovely Saleen chrome over aluminum...

There are both chromed aluminum wheels and aluminum wheels that have chrome caps or covers that are permantly afixed to the wheels, kind of like sheet metal covers. Ford has done the later for years and when you look at them closely they scream "cheap" but in my experience they actually tend to hold up rather well especially when compared to chromed aluminum. The chromed aluminum always seem to flake off somewhere down the road. Of course YMMV.
