Hey y'all,

I need a little help with my vehicle.

I have an 04 Grand Cherokee and I am looking to get to polishing on it when I get home from school for a weekend, hopefully soon. It doesn't have terrible deep scratches, but a couple pits from bird droppings from the previous owners. I was wondering if anyone could tell me a little about the paint on the Grand Cherokee Limiteds. I haven't really heard anything good or bad for them, but any advice would be extremely helpful. It has some swril marks but it's not an absolute ton. Any things that I should be careful of? It has a lot of edges and stuff that I'm worried about mainly. The fenders and quarter panels are probably going to be that hardest part that I can see so far. I only have 5.5" LC pads, so I'm going to get what I can get to.

I

have a couple other questions as well:

1. What is best for removing window chalk? I hate that stuff! Some of my fraternity friends put it all over my windows and I can't get all of it off. I used some rainx glass cleaner, not the protectant, on it but it didn't get all of it off.

2. What is good to use to get in the door jambs and the hinges? I try water and stuff but the water just runs into my interior and makes a huge mess which is extremely frustrating, as you can imagine.

Thanks for the help in advance guys!

Oh, I remembered what else I was going to ask... What about bugs? I have them caked on my jeep from driving to school and driving around everywhere. I can't get them off with a pressure washer completely and scrubbing isn't working very well either. Any ideas?

As far as the window's go, you can try a clay bar, and that should work fine. The door jambs, I use DP Engine Degreaser with an EZ Wheel Brush, which flexes enough to get into the jambs...you may also need a paint brush style boars hair brush, which I also use for in the jambs. Then just flush with a hose (no nozzle) and it won't splash and make a mess of the interior.

The bugs on the front will come right off if you wet the front, spray some Wesley's Bleach White...allow to soak for a minute or two, and then scrub with a boars hair brush, and they will all come right off.

Good Luck!
