Mineral Sprits or an IPA wipe down.

Are you sure you still have wax on the car? If so, use a paint cleaner to remove the wax. Meguiars sells a paint cleaner you can buy retail. I believe it is simply called Meguiars Paint Cleaner.

Unless there is something extraordinary on there (Rydawg has stories about certain silicone products which are absorbed into the paint and interfere with polishing), your aggressive polishing step should take it off, but I'm really not sure. David Fermani should be able to help you with this one.

PS I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to know what this super-wax is that is so difficult to remove--I think I'd like to try it!

I'll contac david

Sounds like another reason why the alkaline step of a decontamination system is often a good starting point for full details. I'd rather just wash with a "super shampoo" than do multiple wipedowns or use a paint cleaner (but yeah, that Meg's Deep Crystal Step #1 Cleaner is OK stuff).
