Help me find all Glass Cleaners

Getting ready to start the next series of Guru Tests - the Glass Cleaner series.

I have about 15 glass cleaning products in house, but need to make sure I've got all of the major players covered. Some of the 'big name' ones I have include:

Eagle One 20/20

Sprayway

Stoners

Bon Ami Aeresol (sp?)

Griot's Glass Cleaner

Armor All Clear View

Gunk Brand Glass Cleaner

Eimann Fabrik

Detailers Pride

P21S Wipes

Porsche Interior Glass Cleaner

Mothers Glass Cleaner

What am I missing? Bear in mind that we want have a representative grouping - nothing too obscure (i.e. requires me to send a certified letter to bumblefrick, where I'll receive a code word to use with an authorized dealer, who will then send via llama my order only after my shipment of gold boulion has been received).

Thanks in advance!

Wurth Glass Cleaner (amonia based)

One Grand Glass Cleaner (alcohol based)

Both are carried by Larry Reynolds at Car Care

Got Windex and vinegar/water (part of the 15 common ones).

Forgot about Wurth - thanks!

Where do I get the Pro stuff, and is it something that more than 8 people use?

prowax.com or any pro wax distributor. Yhea, more than 8 people use it... probably more around 10 people. :D

I consider it one of the better glass cleaners out there though and I'd like to see how it tests out compared when you use it comparing it to others.

Can you tell us some about how you will be testing this products? Some products perform better depending on how you apply them. Some like newspaper, some work better with paper towels, some with cotton towels, some with surgical towels, some with microfiber towels, etc.

Some will also cut through bugs and dirt better but be harder to get streak free. Some will get streak free easily but not get the bugs easily.

meguiars sells a concentrate you mix w/ water, also home depot sells a concentrate from zep, both look very similiar

I've had good success with Valuguard's glass cleaner. Another product that is second to none in my book is advanage concentrate. It can be mixed to make anything from glass cleaner to engine degreaser. It may be a little bit obscure, but it really performs like no other. I'd love to see these tested against the rest. I've got samples of both I could send you if you were interested in testing them.

Rain-X sells one too, simply named "Glass Cleaner" :p

It took me forever to remember what the heck this product was, but No Touch also makes a Glass & Surface Cleaner in trigger and aerosol versions that I've seen locally.

that after many years of experimentation with cleaning glass, using a hi-quality MF (ex. CMA's, Neatitem, YoSteve to name just a few) makes all the difference in the world in getting that glass clean. You can almost do well with just water and an MF.

Should be an interesting report. Looking forward to it.

Eagle One Pro Detail Glass Cleaner...although I suspect it is the same as 20/20, just tinted green. Seems to work exactly the same. :nixweiss
