I bought this used 2004 G35 coupe last May. It's been pretty badly neglected by the previous owner, and I'd like to do some decent correction - remove the swirls and water spots.
Remember, I've had this car for almost a year, so the water spots are older than that.
Here's what I own:
Porter Cable 7424 w/ 5" counter-weight
Backing plate for 4" pads
1 Yellow 4" pad
3 Orange 4" pads
1 White 4" pad
Menzerna SIP (sample of about 6 Oz)
Optimum Hyper Compound
Optimum Compound II
Optimum Polish II
Some other things I bought before finding this site:
Megs Ultimate Compound
ScratchX 2.0
Turtlewax Rubbing Compound
Turtlewax Polishing Compound
So what I'm asking from you guys, with what I have, what combination of pads and polish do you THINK I should try for the pics below?
I'm not sure if OHC and/or the yellow pad are too harsh.
(All the white in the last pic I believe is due to rock chips. I'm not sure what the easiest way to fix that is, and how so much even got there)
