I ve been detailing on the side from my house for the past two years here in Nevada. Due to a family issue I am planning on relocating to the SW Missouri area in the next few months. There are not many mobile detailers there at all and I wanted to start my own mobile detail busniess. I am looking for some help in terms of pricing and state regulations regarding the water. I plan on forming an LLC and getting a trailer and truck and do some card and flyers.

What other things should I do, get or need to get started the right way.

Also how is busniess in that part of the country??

How can you detail in the winter months? Or do you do other things like power wash only for the winter months??

A sound business plan.

As for winter...it can be done, but it sucks. You gotta move quick and it helps to have a partner help you out. and get a nice winter jacket, thermal underware, good gloves, stocking hat ect.

We moved to a new state two years ago now. Not easy but well worth it. CA to WA. I highly recommend getting a yellow page ad at least the smallest display size available or bigger if confident about your ability and peoples needs for detailing there. We do Main book it's Quest here was Pc bell in California, we also do smaller book, cheaper ad thats bigger, I believe the big book's better...(look at and call their ads check pricing and availability) Use cell phone number for ad and ALWAYS answer your phone. Yellow pages run annually make sure you know date you must be in by and hopefully you didn't miss it. Make sure your area code on your phone is the area you plan to serve(our first phones were bought while still in CA area code we needed was 253 seems there are 2 253 area codes here, ours was WRONG, ad we got was WRONG, it all worked out but it sure made our first year alot more interesting....) thats it for now hope it helps.
