Help Fixing Paint Chips

First off, I've been browsing around here awhile but just decided to join so I can post and what not. So sorry for being a noob haha.

Anyway, I'm getting ready to do my spring detail here in a week about (I know, it's late). I'm gonna be going home from school so I'll have plenty of time.

The car though has alot of small rock chips on it from driving lots of highway miles. The front bumper and hood were messed up in an accident and had to be repainted so that probably hasn't helped the durability of the paint. But I was wondering if it would be worth my while to try to get some touch up paint and fix these or if I should just have someone redo it for me. The problem is, is that there's so many of the little chips that idk if it's worth it to go over them with touch up paint.

I have searched quite a bit and read a couple write-up's on here about fixing paint chips. They talk about wetsanding the paint down, but with this many of the chips in a small area, I'd basically be sanding alot of the paint down.

Anyway, just lmk what you guys think I should do. Here are some pics:

Sorry for the image quality, these were on my pos cellphone that has no autofocus. Thanks in advance for any advice.

An old scratch that was tried to touch up, can it be better?

Well I looked into dr. colorchip and it looks like that will work for most of my "road rash" chips. But what about for the chip in the 3rd picture on the hood and the massive scratch on the gas tank cover in the 5th picture. The one in the last picture I was wondering if I could somehow sand down then repaint it with the dr. colorchip. It's bumped up pretty bad around there. Thanks for any advice.

Look for some of my prior posts on rock chips..... In short, multiple applications of Dr. Colorchip followed by the old school method with the remaining big ones that Colorchip did not fill to your satisfaction. The previously touched up scratch will need to have that slop paint carefully sanded off (again, look for some previous posts IE wet sand paper glue to pencil eraser tip). There are other methods but for a beginner, you will most likely be happy with the results recommended.

You can use langka to remove old touch up spots that used oem style touch up paint. No need to wet sand to bring it down. A micro artists brush, thin layers, and patience should be used for the bigger stuff that isn't roadrash.

You could try langka on that old touch up. I have had mixed results on really old repairs using langka and that could be because of the unknown type of paint that was used. But, certainly less work then sanding! Basically, the OP needs the whole arsenal.... and a lot of patience!

I'm pretty sure there's some left over touch up paint from the dealership from when my dad tried to touch up that scratch on the gas tank door. I'm gonna try to do some wetsanding and get that looking better. As for the front bumper and the mirror, I think I'll just try the Dr. ColorChip for now and see how that turns out.

Which size should I get for the Dr. ColorChip thing? There's quite a few chips but do I really need the medium or biggest one? The only difference is the size of the solution stuff, the touch up paint is basically the same size bottle. You think I'll be fine with just the small one?
