Hi, I ordered a Dewalt DW443 DA polisher and now need some expert input on which pads to get. Do pads for the PC 7424 also work for the DW443? Appreciate your help as there is not much talk on Dewalt pads.

Ash,

I use the LC 7.5' VC pads because I can use them for both the PC and rotary. The shape makes it a bit easier to get into tight spots with the orbital, and the "cup" on the back that the backing plate sits in helps to protect the backing plate from hitting anything AND keeps the pad centered.

The only downside to these pads on the PC is that with the increased size you loost a bit of polishing "power" as it's harder for the PC to physically move them. The smaller pads are a bit more effective for defect work.

Thanks everyone, seems like LC and Propel are the ones to try. This is going to be a sort of long term project (next few months at least) as free time is very precious (hey I never said I was the boss of my own house :o ).

I will try LC first, as I have seen Andy at work with them. Nice guy. Infact, he is going to be working on all those swirls ect on my E500 come two weeks (what better than getting a fellow Autopian to baby your car:getdown) .
