New to this board thought that Id introduce myself. Although I'm somewhat young (26) my passion for automobiles has lead me to many good online communities. Full Time I'm a software developer for Nationwide Insurance BUT this past year I also started my own Mobile Detailing business on the side. Since I'm full time behind a desk I do not have a ton of clients yet BUT the more I learn about Detailing the more passionate I become about it.

Anyhow...I've been on the Autopia forums for about a month and just now found Detail city and hope to learn, grow and share information that I find helpful as well.

As for my vehicle fleet...well I'm down 1 vehicle this summer becuase I'm paying for my own wedding in November and also closing on my house that month (another reason that detailing on the side is good to me) so No more 2001 GSXR 1000 (too many mods to list)...BUT my current vehicles are.

(mine) 1999 Audi A4 1.8T Black on Black, 19' Sportec Mono 10's in anthrocite, Bilstein shocks, Intrax springs, A! sides, custom molded Projektzwo front, E-codes, 5400K xenons, 35% tint, and the list goes on

(Fiance's) 2001 BMW 325CI, Steel Gray, 19' MVR magnums, eibach pro-kit, UUC sway bars, Hartge front lip spoiler, M3 rear lip spoiler, clears, ect.

Sooo...in a nutshell that's me.

Thanks to both of you.

poorboy - Can't wait to get the SSR3 and SSR2.5 that I ordered the other day from one of the vendors here. Hopefully they'll help me with some trouble spots in my Audi paint that I have been unsuccessful in trying to correct with IP. I would have gotten them straight from you but I needed some new pads as well. Hopefully I'll like your products as much as everyone else here.

Andy

hey Andy...you can use SSR3 with a pc as i saw on your other post elsewhere:lol ...use a finishing or polishing pad, make a small circle around the pad, about an inch from the edge, and use it at a speed of 5.5 or 6 for small areas at a time...I suggest trying a couple passes with 2.5 first with a polishing pad, before bumping up to SSR3.

p.s.... make sure you work it until it breaks down and do not dampen the pad...

duely noted...actually thanks much for the reply becuase I probably would have misted the pad with QD AND used a cut pad...I'll try this method.

Andy

Hi Andy, welcome to DC

Speaking from my own limited experience, I had must better results with SSR2.5 than I did with IP using either product with a yellow LC pad.

Followed up with FPII, VW, EX-P(2) and I'm very pleased with the result.
