Hello & THANK YOU!

Last Fall I spent a week polishing my black 2002 twin turbo Mustang the day before a car show and when I took it out into the sun I realized I had completely failed..arrgg.
So last winter I started researching how to accomplish a show quality Black finish which eventually lead me to these forums. Five months of researching and taking notes got me a shopping list and recipe that I was confident that would be the right materials and procedures to use in order to produce a swirl free finish... and I was RIGHT!
So THANK YOU ALL for posting your results and experiences so others can enjoy their rides!

Recently I have spent about 18 hours researching coatings but I have a few questions that I will post in a different forum.

Thanks again!
Kevin Slaby

Looks great also nice photography. you didn`t have to wait so long to post most these guys don`t bite and there are a lot non detailing threads that are a lot fun (I am still a novice to paint polishing) and don`t require you to have a clue about detailing to get comfortable in the community.

Thanks for the kudos. I dabble a bit in photography when I have something to photograph.
I spend a lot of time on Mustang and racing forums and it urks me a bit when a noob will ask basic questions first instead of use the search button.

Welcome to the forum. As Trashman said - we don`t bite. No such thing as a dumb question around here - We were all "there" once. I probably still am to be honest haha

nice..welcome...love the wheel/tire setup

all muscle cars need that nice offset if you ask me :)

that fmic is a little menacing too

I`m glad to hear that someone like the wheel/tire setup. I wanted something other than the typical look that Mustang guys go with (ie large diameter with short sidewalls) so I chose this combo and I really like how the rear tires (325/45-17) fill the fenders.

The IC is huge and needs to be cleaned up..kinda dirty but that will be next years project.

what kind of tire is that in the rear? (im running MT Street Comps and really like them but 315 size)
and im guessing 17x11 wheel to fit the 325? that`s almost a square brick!

The wheels are 17x10`s and tires are M&H Racemaster drag radials. I hate that they are DR`s but nobody else on the planet makes this size tire so I`m stuck with them.

Nice pics ... the first one looks awesome with the reflection of the sunset on the car!

I got rather lucky with that pic. I live about 1 mile from the park and I saw a beautiful sunset approaching so I jumped in the car and headed to take a few pics. When shooting sunsets I only get about 3 minutes where the lighting is perfect and I literally parked, jumped out and located myself and snapped 3-4 pics then the light was gone.

Another pic but I don`t like the background as much.
