i've got to take out a couple small marrings in my paint tomorrow (not scratches, but little swirlish type scratches). can i just go straight back to layering SG over it?

i know #9 will probably take off the SG that's on there. but do i need to do another step in between? hoping to get a few SG layers and then do some Souveran. :D

My guess would be yes, it would be fine. I asked CMA about this exact thing for Blackfire. They said it was fine to follow #9 2.0 with the paint protectant. The Klasse bottle says if your paint looks good you can skip right to the SG so it’s not like it’s a 2-part system.

#9 does have fillers/gloss enhancers and to be safe I'd use either DAWN or AIO before going to SG. I can understand why they'd say you can BF over #9, but that's a different issue altogether...

one thought here...

wouldn't the AIO clean the paint of the fillers the #9 2.0 has left behind?

I can understand washing before using SG, but I would think that going from #9 to AIO to SG should be fine.

Anyone else have an opinion on this?

What would the difference between Blackfire all finish paint protectant (not Blackfire polish) and SG be? I’m not questioning your claim but am asking why this is. I’ve really been trying to get to the bottom of what is ok to put a sealant (BF, Klasse & Zaino) on top of. TIA

AIO would clean the paint of fillers, so this is an option.
The original question didn't mention AIO, so maybe he only has SG :)

nah, i've got both. i ended up using #9, then aio, then sg. i just like the aio product so much i couldn't skip it. i did my motorcycle and a friend's motorcycle the week after and aio did wonders! everything looks good. i might try to get another layer of sg on tonight. then buff if off tomorrow and put another one on that day or night. then do a souveran topper after that.
