Detailing the Gulf Coast
I just realized I have not posted ANYTHING on this forum to day. Im slacking here. Ive been trolling forever so here is a hello from Sunny Florida (im saying that jokingly right now as its sunny till it rains haha)

We are Vital Car Care. A small, 2 brother, team of mobile detailers. Focused not on quantity but on quality.

Ill have to put together a few posts to show off a bit and share the knowledge I've acquired over the years.

Welcome. Your mission of quality over quantity sounds like a good one. So how does a 2 person (brothers no less) work on a day to day basis?

Luckily we both have day jobs and arrange jobs based on our customers needs and schedule. We will work late or early on a day to day basis to fit in a customer. Being that my day job pays my bills. I do not have to worry about who my next customer is going to be and am able to spend a little extra time or give away a free job or two to spread the word.

We do more maintenance packages and paint correction than we do just washes.

I do this more out of passion than for money, even though the money in detailing is nice. I've been shining cars for the past 8 years and have brought my brother on when he lost his job during the recession. We have both been gear heads since we were young. When faced with a loss of income what better way to take matters in your own hands than to go into business for yourself right?

My focus is building our reputation and doing most of the actual paint correction as I have the experience.

His focus is building trust with our customers and works more on the maintenance packages while he learns some of the tricks of the trade. With his body shop experience as well as being family. Has been much easier to be on the same "page" as well as understanding what he is doing to a car.

Ive tried having "helpers" work with me and wont do that again. You simple spend too much time answering questions than cleaning cars.

On a work scenario we work in tandem around the car. As I'm doing the washing he's going at the wheels. As I'm working around the car polishing hes attacking the interior. Its nice to be able to sync up with someone to split your work load. Definitely a benefit to have a second pair of eyes during final inspection to makes sure all areas have been addressed.

Our main marketing is towards the local car scene here and we target small audiences to work around our schedule as well as theirs. Basically Part time detailers with full time motives

Now hopefully things continue to grow as they have been and by this time next year we will set a fixed location to handle our more frequent repeat customers.

btw you guys might have seen the work i did on the Skyline that caused all the commotion over on AG. haha

I didnt mean to stir the pot as much as it did, but with all the drama figured id rather deal with detailers that love the passion of the industry not fan boys of a particular distributor. haha

Hey Vital, you detailed my friends Honda. I'm not sure what model it is but it's one of the rare ones with the engine behind the seats. It looked real good. I'm in the area, my business is Buff-N-Glo, you should hit me up if you're ever out this way

A2b, Yes the NSX. Love that car. Wife even said i can get one!!
