Hello,

It's been about two years since I've been getting into detailing and I'm always looking for ideas to speed up the process and get better results.

Currently, I use Lake Country flat and hydrotech pads with 3 1/2 and 5" backing plates and a PC 7424XP. Here are some products I use:

Meg's ultimate compound (hopefully replaced soon with M101 for faster correction), Meg's M205, and PlastX

Autoglym shampoo which I find mediocre and looking to replace

Mother's claybar and mothers detail spray. Also diluted ONR as a clay lube
Nanoskin Autoscrub blue sponge

Mother's aluminum and mag polish.

Klasse AIO and Sealant glaze

Duragloss tire dressing.

Hope to get some great advice and perhaps share some of my (limited) detailing knowledge in the future!

Hello. This question has probably been asked before but here goes anyway:

I've found another forum with the same name: Autopia. What's the difference? I understand this forum is associated with an actual distributor of detailing products. Is that the main difference?

welcome to AF. how's the weather in the great white north?

Hello topicsteve! I actually got my bachelors degree at FSU so I know a little about Florida. Go 'noles! The temperature here is kinda like Tallahassee in December. Just on the edge of freezing. First snow will be in a week or two.

I just finished doing my whole car with Klasse AIO and SG and I hope it'll hold up for the winter. I'm actually still running my summer tyres and gonna have to switch to my winters soon. I started using the Klasse twins on my wheels and love the results. Brought out an extra shine I wasn't getting before. i wonder if I could use Klasse on my tailpipe or if it would just bake off and evaporate?

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Welcome MtLian,
I'm from the other side of Canada, western BC.
I've tried a million shampoos over the years and now I use Griot's and Duragloss shampoos. Both offer huge lubricity and used as per recommended dilution rates are gentle on lsps. Check them both out and include one or both on your next online order.
