Yiasu Tiganis! Kieropoli! Welcome to Autopia!

When I think of Greece, I think of my favourite Greek desserts...Galaktobouriko and Kataifi...must enjoy these with a small cup of Metriol (medium coffee) prepared the old-school method using a small saucepan :chuckle: Instead of the usual zacaro-plastions, I love to visit the old-fashioned, traditional ouzerie dessert shops in Psiri and central Athens!

I'm glad to see a detailing enthusiast from Greece!!!

Nastakala!!!

Welcome to Autopia Ch96067! Just seeing this makes me hungry for Greek food. My all time favorites are: Tzatziki, Skordalia, Avgolemono, Flaming Saganaki Cheese, Dolmades, Pastichio, Kokkinisto and of course Gyros.

Thanks to both for the kind words.

Good to see that people remember Greece nowadays for things other than the financial crisis. Should any fellow Utopian decide to visit Greece give a shout for tips on where to go and what to do. And remember it is not only the sea, the sun and the islands. Winter hideaways are numerous and lovely. That is if winter decides to visit this year :).

Hi Kostas!!!

When I think of Greece now, I remember my days in Mykonos.

It was MAGICAL. Nothing can compare to it.

Lazing in the sun next to whitewashed walls with blue-louvered windows, totally blue skies.....DAMN!!!!

I'm very close to a Greek in Australia by the name of Nick Fountas (pronounced Fu-das).

His father is the President of the Greek Orthodox Society in Australia who welcomes all new Greek immigrants into Australia. I love Greek culture!!!!!!!!!!!
