Hello Autopia folks,
I just wanted to say hi and it is my first post. I hope to learn from you guys and hopefully get into a habit of detailing my car...
I am 19 yrs old, don't have lots of money and I just painted my car with the $50 paintjob (mine was $100).
You can see my 93 Honda Civic here...$50 paintjob (more like $100 paintjob -- so far) - Page 3 - D-series.org
Anyway I was wondering what you guys think about the Vector 7" rotary polisher? I am getting something that looks exactly like it. It is made by Neiko USA or Air Locker. Its essentially just rebranded.
I plan to wetsand my car down and use a couple of products that my detailer friend OctaneGuy suggested to me. I since added another step.
Any thoughts on the polisher? Which size pads do you think I should end up getting? I know I have to buy a velcro backing plate such as Meguiar's. THANKS
My product selection to cut away @ orange peel and bring back a shine...
1. Wetsand 2000grit + 25000grit
2. Meguiar's M84 Compound Power Cleaner (probably with wool pad)
3. Meguiar's M80 Speed Glaze
4. ClearKote Red Moose Machine Glaze
5. Meguair’s M21 Synthetic Sealant
#4 is not needed but I think I will do it anyway to bring a pop to the black color. :woot2:
