I been always a fan of rally racing, and I work for a racing team at age 30, since I always liked to keep my cars clean, one of the things I did was to keep the racing cars clean...I learn a lot from Autopia reviews and threads and i finally decided to join the community. I am pretty sure I will be able to share many tips I learned over the years. My home town is Weston Florida

I am out out racing now, but I worked for FORD team back in 1992 and also subaru and mitsubishi.....my favorite was subaru. Now I am into car detailing...
 
Clean race cars, let alone rally cars?! Absurd! :laugh:



Welcome! Autopia is a great place, I'm sure there's lots to be information to be exchanged.



Don't we all love the soft, rock magnet, swirly, Subaru clear coat? ;)

Thanks, I know it sounds adsurd to clean a rally car, but beleive it or not after every race we had to do it.... that is why I started to do details on weekends and still do...extra cash



Are you familiar with waterless products, any suggestions, seems like many people are using to be complaint with city laws. Like in Tampa florida water restrictions seem to be very strict/....:confused:

S. Florida is starting to get pretty hot & steamy. Can't wear my glasses anymore because they steam up every time I get out of my car.

Welcome to the forum, I've been waiting for the car care expo myself, always good to find new toys. Subaru Rally cars???? I always thought that those cars were painted with mud.... u mean there's actually paint under the dirt :har:

It will be my first time at that show, a friend of mine that runs a car care detail business in Australia told me that he founded his suppliers there in previous years. I may find something interesting.....

Weather here is nice is always around upper 70's . Vegas they say is warmer will see.....

Thanks, have you been to the show before?? they told me that the last day you find great deals....I will like to get a small carpet extractor myself. Are you from Vegas??? I know rally cars are always muddy, but it was fun to clean them, easy because we did not worry about scratches or swirl marks :)

Yes Vegas is my hometown. So far I think I only missed one show, what I do is catch a vendor on the last day of the show for equipment, sometimes it saves them the hassle of having to ship things back.... cost of freight, time to pack it, their tired from the show. They really drop their pants on the price.



Scratches and Swirls.... I wish I didn't have to worry about that. All this crushed rock pepole call dust keeps me busy. People out here will wet their car and wipe it down with a terry cloth towel. :think:
