Hello, and my first detail using a PC (Pics included)

Axe

OK I used BMW shampoo to clean the car, followed by BMW polish followed by meguiars Gold Class wax to achieve this finish, I think it looks pretty good, would be interested in your comments, particularly if you believe other products might get a better finish?

Not sure how to add more than one file ? I would post more and clickable larger ones if I knew how ?

OK I have added some larger pics in the gallery now, not sure how you will view them, but if you check out the gallery under axe or something you should find them.

Yes it is a liquid polish, (add it in a circle to your pad, and dab to the vehicle ... or apply with an applicator sponge) let me find the part no for you (if you go to Halliwell Jones or any main BMW dealer) you should be able to get this stuff.

I can tell you it's as good if not better than anything I have tried ... the product no is 83 12 9 408 526

SilverLexus thanks for the tip, however I am not sure where in the UK to purchase the Souveran product?

I also believe that a product called S210/100 or something is very good/the best wax even?

Agreed, P21S wax is very good but I am not sure if there is any product which could be described as best. As for Souveran, the only way to get this is to import from the USA but dont forget, we can buy a lot of products here in the UK. I would also recommend buying from Alex :up

OK thank you very much for the tips, there is a harley (North West Cycles) dealer near me, perhaps I will go in and see if they sell P21S, thanks again. :)

Nice place this.

The Harley shop with only sell S100 (but same as P21S to all intents and purposes). See if you can pick up a bottle of S100 SEC (Shine Enhancing Cleanser) too.

I believe that the wax you bought from BMW is Klasse AIO. Save some money and try CMA or Autopia.org...A lot cheaper....:xyxthumbs

Very nice! Gold Class is the first wax I used on my black BMW, and the results were good. I then tried Meguiar's #26, P21S, and finally Pinnacle Souveran paste wax which is my favorite to date.

I suspect the polish is made by Wack, as they are OE suppliers to BMW and Porsche.

thanks for the comments, so is it Klasse then or something else ? If it helps, it is pink, liquid, and smells very nice :)

What I did notice about this stuff is that used with the PC it tends to dry a little on the pad, and can cause a white powdery dust, which is very annoying on a black car - are there other products that do not leave a white powder or is this a problem with the heat generated by the PC? By the way it isn't expensive from BMW, it costs around £6.99 for a quite large bottle, the AutoGlym costs nearly £9.00 as a comparison

I have ordered some PS21 for the final finish on the car, waiting for that to arrive. Souveran is all but impossible to obtain here in the UK, unless anyone knows any different ?

I have also purchased AutoGlym super resin polish, which I had a nightmare trying to remove when applied by hand, however I am hoping that the PC will do a good job with this ... question is will it be as good a shine (or better) than the BMW stuff ?

I think it is unlikely to be Klasse, which is an American marketing brand name, the original version is made by Car-Lack which as far as I know are not OE suppliers.

As for the Resin, it needs some time to fully cure, normally I would say an hour but at this time of year, I suspect a great deal longer.

OK thanks for your replies, well I decided to brave the weather today and give my car a once over, I used the AutoGlym resin polish (after first shampooing with BMW shampoo) and then waxed with the Meguiars Gold Wax. I think this is an improvement in 'wet' shine than the previous pics, still awaiting the arrival of P21s wax for the final finish.
