Heller Glanz Carnauba Cream Wax - Anybody?

Has anyone here tried Heller Glanz Carnauba Cream Wax on a car, trailer, boat, etc? Does it look good on whites, darks, silvers, metalics, etc? Does it leave a super wet look or add depth, etc? Any opinions on durability? Here's a link to this product.

I was talking with someone in a doctors office who 'claimed' he had personally tested numerous waxes against each other on his cars and his boats and he was throwing out names like Meguiar's #16, Collinite 885 & 925, 3M Ultra, etc. He said that the Heller Glanz Carnauba Cream Wax provided the best durability and the best gloss from all the products he's tried and he said it was super easy to use. He went on to say he did his own bird bomb and hard water spot testing and this product lead the way in protection. I asked him what he thought of Meguair's #16 and how it compared to the Collinite products he tested and he said they were both great products, but that some of the Collinite products (and he specifically mentioned 925) had a 'little' more durability than #16, but were otherwise very close in other factors. And he went on again to say that this Heller Glanz Carnuba Cream Wax definitely had better durability, better gloss, better protection, etc, than either of these products. Hmmm.....

After the brief talk with this guy, I'm now really curious about this product and was hoping someone here might have some experience with it, especially as to how it compares to Collinite's products.

Thanks! now you have me curious too. If this can do what he said, I got a new winter wax. Anyone trying it soon?

I may buy some later next week and try it out on a neighbors vehicle later this month just so I have something close by that I can keep an eye on. I won't polish it out to be super nice, but simply give it a quick wash, a quick clay and a very quick polish with something on hand (i.e. Megs 80 or OP/OC/OHC, etc).

I'm very curious about this stuff since I can't find any info on it from other detailers, but I'm certainly not holding my breath as this being the best of the best. I just hope it will be good enough that I'll want to use it, otherwise it will join the rest of the average junk I have ;)

I don't know if I can trust the table. Heller Glanz is number 1 in all products. I will wait for a review from Gadsan. Still $20 for a quart is not bad.

I don't know if I can trust the table...

It could be that Heller Glanz put this table together or somehow sponsored it. Every product is going to claim to be the best and some companies will go to great lengths using sneaky and or smart marketing tactics to help sell their product, but I don't know if this is the case with this product or not. I too would not trust that table, but it does make for interesting reading. One thing I've been noticing while surfing google for "Heller Glanz" is that I'm finding more web pages that sound like a Heller Glanz commercial and plenty of pages that look like they were put together by an automated robot.

I'm having more doubts about this product after spending more time surfing google, but I'm still going to try it. I guess it it doesn't work out, I can give it to my brother-in-law for Christmas :chuckle:

I've tried finding this product locally since I live ~20 miles from the ocean, but none of the local marine shops carry it and none of the people at these shops that I spoke with have even heard of it. I called Heller Glanz directly today (twice) and I got the impression I was speaking to a boiler room operation. I could hear other people talking, taking orders, etc, and the two people I spoke with knew practically nothing about these products  . One person even admitted to reading from a cheat sheet card :har:.

They wanted over $13 for shipping to me which I thought was excessive, but their lack of knowledge and the 'boiler room' atmosphere really gave me the creeps :bolt Maybe they have an answering service working for them on the weekends, so I'll give them another try on Monday and see if I can talk to someone that really knows something about their products. Maybe its a good product and maybe its not, but I'm not getting good feeling about their company from the calls I've made.

Man, you guy's are going to make me broke! I might just wait and see results from others on this one just to save $!!

Did you every try calling them again on a weekday?

Sorry for not posting earlier. I've been out of town for a while.

Yes. In fact, I called a couple more times and I did not get the best of impressions...again. I'm thinking they had something to do with that chart which shows their products as being the best. I've decided not to buy their product after the calls I've made to them. I'm on my way back to Mexico for another ~2 weeks, so have a nice Thanksgiving holiday!
