What's up guys how are all of you. I got a small problem. Acustomer wants me do detail his conversion van. Ok thats cool, but how can I reach the top of the van? Will putting a ladder too close increase the chances of it rubbing against the van potentially scratching it? Im stumped......:nixweiss :confused:
 
If you have 2 A frame ladders you could use them to support 2x8 that you can use as planking



The lenght of the 2x8 could be what ever you want it to be . Make sure your ladders are on level ground . You can get the idea of what I'm talking about from my cude little stick figure

If you dont have 2 A frames just use 1 step ladder and becarefull .
 
I just use a step ladder, but your right, you must take care not to let it rub against the paint. I just thought of this, but you could drape a towel over the top of the ladder just in case.
 
If you're a good sized guy, try standing on the tires. If you're a bit smaller (more in reach than height), you might want to look in to a portable work platform (available at HD, etc, pretty cheap).
