W.S.- I'd use a mild polish that you'd use on paint to at least improve things, then see if you could still benefit from a glaze/etc. Go a little easy as the finish on most interior wood is kinda soft. I dunno how thick it'll be either...but I've never gone too far on any of my cars (but then I don't always try for perfection either).
It's sorta the same deal as with the clearcoat on the body of the car- you don't want to overdo the correction and sometimes concealing is a better idea than correcting. Don't go straight to some harsh compound, but I wouldn't start out with something *super* mild either, no point in that unless you're just doing a quickie job with something like VM.
