Heavily Scratched ATV Fairings

Hey all, I was looking for advice on what is best to restore scratched up fenders on a Polaris ATV. It's basically "Arizona pinstriping" caused by riding on trails with brush along the sides. It's not really deep, but at least one of our ATV's is on the market and we would like it to look good for the potential buyer. Thanks in advance!

Great thanks. That looks very close to a kit I saw Polaris selling for about half the price, so may have to give that a try. Hopefully I can find a distributor relatively close so that I don't have to pay for shipping and wait for it to get here.

Will do. I checked out the motorsports dealers that I frequent with no success. As it is, we are probably going to drop the price for them to have work done mechanically, so I'll see if I am even going to bother going beyond a simple wash for it at this point now.
 
i posted about this as well....from all the info I gathered, not much could be accomplished....



so i went and tried a lot of combos out...wool, foam, cutting pads, polishing pad, compounds, polishes, AOI...NOTHING worked
 
I wonder what kind of results you could get if you wetsanded the plastics all the way up to say 3000 grit and then polished them out.
 
I used to work at a pawn shop back in the day....we had an old guy working there that tuned up our small engine stuff. He actually "shaved" the plastic down with a razor blade....It was crazy how good it looked....but it took him forever.
