Headlights...

I have a few little scratches on my head lights that I would like to get out.

What would be the best way to do this without damaging like a protective coating on the outside?

Im guessing wet sanding with really high grit paper but let me know. They are clear besides a few minor small scratches.

If you are sure they are light scratches, you could try Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish, followed by their Plastic Polish. It's not going to work too well on gouges, but it does smooth the lenses and if you did have to work on some with yellowing, this works on them too. Likely less abrasive than sanding too, I would imagine.

If you had a Mini Power Ball, that could speed things up too.
