HEY GUYS I GOT A QUESTION ABOUT HEADLIGHT RESTORING. DOES ANYONE HAVE A QUICK AND EASY METHOD FOR FIXING YELLOW AND FADED HEADLIGHTS? IT SEEM A LOT OF THE CARS I DETAIL HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND THIS MIGHT BE A GOOD THING TO START DOING. ONE OF MY CUSTOMERS HAS A USED CARLOT WITH ABOUT 250 CARS AND TRUCKS AND WAS ASKING IF I COULD DO SOME OF THIS WORK FOR HIM. ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE VERY HELPFULL!!!!!!!!!

I do these all the time. I have little 3 inch polisher (pneumatic) that i use. Then just a 3" inch wool cutting pad and polishing pad. Use compound with the wool and any polish you want with the polishing pad. If theyre really bad ill hit them with 1500 grit sand paper then go at. I run my compressor at about 125psi. They come out crystal clear everytime. Hope this helps you out. Have any questions just ask. Also you can look at the Crossfire i posted on the detail showcase, i did a headlight restoration on that.

I haven't encountered any that are too bad, but I use Meg's Plastix and have had good success with it.

Sometimes you can get away with a polish. But most times you'll need to wetsand and buff them to get them looking really good again.

I was watching a show the other day, Two guys garage or something like that. 2 old timers showing how to restore cars, etc. They used white tooth paste on a headlight that was yellowed over and with no effort at all the tooth paste removed the yellow. Worth a shot.

If you look in my user gallary you can see a set i did. My process was wetsand with 1000 and then 2000 grit and then polish.

Hey Thanks For The Info I"m Going To Try It And See How It Works. I Believe I Can Get A Lot Of Extra Work Doing This.
