Hd Uno

I got my HD UNO last Friday, so I decided to try it out over the weekend. When it arrived, the delivery box was very heavy duty, and sealed tight. Upon opening the box, I noticed that everything was packaged very nicely inside the box. Each bottle of HD UNO was wrapped tightly. I noticed that the MF towels that I purchased through them seem to be just like the Cobra arctic white towels that I love soooo much, only these were blue.

So, I decided to give the product a go on my car...in an attempt to get it ready to store for the winter. It is a Black Saturn Sky. The paint was about 95% defect free. I figured I would try to get it closer to 98%. I followed the instructions to a "T"....3 dime size drops on the HD orange pad, PC set to 5.

There is not much smell to the product, and the pads seem to be very firm (similar to a sonus pad, only a touch firmer). I began to work the surface, and the product ddes have a looong work time, which I really liked. I worked it for about 3 minutes per panel, and it wasn't flashing or drying up.

The only thing that I didn't like, is that left alot of micro marring. I had to re-polish with Menz 85rd to remove the micro marring.

I then moved onto the next panel, and tried the HD blue pad and applied the same way. This also left alot of micro marring, which again needed to be refined with the 85rd.

I watched the instructional video's, and it shows it finishing down perfectly. Is there something that I am doing wrong, that I am getting all this micro marring? Is there something else I can try to prevent the micro marring to allow it to finish down almost perfectly.

I have the uno pad and the poxy pad. Isnt the blue pad a no cut pad? If so shouldnt that remove the micro marring? But since it didnt... Im not sure.

In my experience it was hard to remove, but I didnt get any micro marring. Ill be using it again this weekend and ill let you know the result.

The blue is much softer than the orange, and it didn't aleviate the micro marring. I even tried applying the product with an LC orange, just to see if it was the pads, and I still got micromarring. So, either it is the product or I am doing something wrong. I am going to play with it some more this weekend on the wife's car to see if I can find a solution. I didn't have any issues with it being difficult to remove. It actually removed quite easily for me.

Ok, so I did some sampling with my HD Uno. Here is what I found...I removed the counterweight on the PC, applied two dime size drops on the pad and worked longer (about 3-4 minutes) per section being done. I did this with the orange pad. I primed the pad, but after about 1-1/2 minutes, I applied a very light mist of detailer (ONR) to the surface and finished the other 1-1/2 minutes. This was all done on speed 5. It was difficult to remove when finished, so a light mist of ONR again and I was able to easily remove any wax residue. What I ended up with was a perfect, defect free, hologram free surface. The only downfall to this was the amount of work time to get these good results.
