Cleaned with HD TOTAL then applied HD PROTECT as per instructions. Simple!

I'm really liking this pic for some reason... If someone came out with a better foam brush (slightly stiffer like LC white?)

The smell is pleasant as others have mentioned. And although the sheen

is a tad too much for my taste, my sister was happy with it. Actually, most

people seem to prefer a sheen like this. There is a sense of rejuvenation

beyond something merely cleaned.

I'm thinking of diluting it to bring the gloss down a few notches...

Great idea with the foam brush for cleaning/dusting vents, it's one of those "how didn't I think of that ideas". I'll have to steal that on my next detail.

Thanks for sharing. Results look great. I think a sheen like that looks great in lower-light conditions, but when the sun comes out, things can get a little greasy-looking, so I know what you mean .

Can one find a simple foam vent like that at a Home Depot?

Ya know... I diluted Protect with water (1:1) and like it much better. :)

For production work you could probably dilute it 3:1. It's very rich. Remember, it was designed to be concentrated. "Use Less. Do More." Shipping water is not effective. ;)

Hi I know it has a little shine, but if you use a damp towel to wipe it off you will get less shine.

True. But it's much more efficient this way for me. Just apply and wipe once.

Not trying to save a few bucks either, I just prefer a slightly lower sheen.

I'm playing with HD PROTECT this week to determine appropriate dilution ratios for HD PROTECT used in professional tasks. When released in the HD Pro line, PROTECT will be available in a 24 oz. size. My initial tests yesterday seem to indicate that you could dilute this product up to 4:1 for a matte finish. I need to heat test to make sure it retains proper protection at that dilution.

Hey! Those are the same foam brushes I use. They're very good at getting caked on dirt and grim out of the vents.

I went to Michael's and they had 20 for $1.00 - bought 40:D

Twenty foam brushes for $1!?

Sounds like someone's losing money!

I need to pick some up, then. First, I have to make sure the Michaels in my town is still in business...or was it a Ben Franklin? :nervous:
