HD Adapt or HD Cut???

I am going to order some of the new HD products. What do you guys think is better?? HD Adapt or HD Cut? I also plan on ordering some HD Polish.

HD cut is going to give you a little more cutting ability than the Adapt but you are probably going to have to "2" step it and finish with the HD Polish. The Adapt is one great product especially if you are trying to do a "1" step polish. It cuts very well and finishes down amazing with the right pad. I really like all 3 and keep them all on hand. If I could only choose two it would be the Adapt and the Polish. The Polish is about the only thing I use any more for finishing. I haven't found anything else that I like better.

adapt hasn't worked very well for me. it definitely isn't a "cut" type polish. as said already, it's for finishing moreso imo

Have you contacted the HD Store in FL to see what the problem might be or what you might be able to change in your technique to assure you are getting the results reported by most others??

Quote from a well respected pro detailer over on AG "But Adapt offers a good amount of cut without sacrificing finishing ability."

I have found Adapt to cut very well with the right pads. I have used B&S Microfiber Pads and their Orange foam pads with Adapt and have found them to have very good correction ability. I have even been able to "One Step" the harder paints with both of these pads on a Flex 3401. If there is a problem with cut it probably has to do with the wrong pad selection.

would you guys reccomend adapt to cut down 2k grit sand scratches? i highly doubt it.

Adapt can knock down a heck of a lot deeper scratches than 2000 as the above video shows the removal of 1500 grit scratches.

OTOH, HD Cut will do it quicker and better (especially with a rotary), but you'll need a finishing step after.

I love Adapt with MF pads! It offers decent cut and finishes so well a quick follow up with Polish is all that's needed. On some paints it could easily be used as a 1-step. I've only used HD Cut on some test panels so can't comment on it really.
