I had forgotten that using the DACP with the burgundy pad caused hazing, which had happen on my new black car. To take out the hazing and bring back the deep dark shine, what should I hit it with. I do own the PC and a rotary.

Thanks

Hit it with the PC using the Meguiars yellow W-8006 polishing pad and DACP, should come right out. Just make sure you work DACP long enough with the PC to break it down completely.

Get some Megs SWP on a Megs yellow polish pad on the PC, or 3M Perfect-It III Glaze, or Megs #9 if you can't get SWP.

You just now need to bring up the shine. You just cut/leveled the surface of the finish, and this can happen with a cut pad. No big deal, just more work, but the finish will be free of defects!

The last thing I use on black single stage paint is Menzerna FP on a finish pad and let the FP "burnish" the finish to a mirror. On clears I use Megs Hand Polish with a finish pad. It all depends on the paint and color.

Same thing happened to me but i was expecting it. So after the 7006 pad & #83 I moved down to 8006 pad with #82. Came out great! Next time I think I'll go one step further and finish with the super soft 9006 pad & #81. Probably won't make any difference but what the heck, why not give it a try!

Yeah, what Bob said!

Thanks guys, that worked just fine. Now my question, especially Scottwax because of the photo, how long does it or would it take you, to DACP with the PC, that 350Z?

I had more of the same problem as bcgreen but with a LC yellow pad and DACP .. when I switched to the purple pad and DACP I didn't experience it.

The LC Yellow I have seems very course compared to the Megs purple one. I used both on the black Caddy hood as a test and both took the mars down .. just that the yellow left the haze and both ere worked the same.

Now I keep the yellow LC for all but black and the purple for black. Just saves a step for me.

I have some FINESSIT II MACHINE GLAZE, at what point should I use this product, before, after or in place of DACP or perhaps not at all? I have used it on my high speed buffer after I clay, then use DACP with the speed buffer, followed with FINESSIT MACHINE GLAZE, followed by SEPC with PC, and lastly, S100, again with the PC.

Thanks
