Hazing after PB SSR2.5?

I noticed today that when I used the ssr2.5 last friday that there is a considerable amount of hazing on my emerald green honda.
Will VM take this out. I had planned on using that after the ssr2.5 and seal it up with EX-P.

Also is VM good enought to use just as a 1 step process? My neighbor wants me to just do the outside of there expedition and I told her I would for 40.00

how did you apply it? if with the PC , what pad did you use, at what speed and for how long.:dunno

I had a little bit of hazing after doing a black truck with 2.5. Sonus Cutting pad with PC at speed 5. Wasn't bad but there was some hazing on curves where I do not think the product fully broke down.

How long did you work the product?

Definitely the pad IMO. I have used the 2.5 on my sherwood forrest green Accord via the PC and meguiars polishing pad without a lick of hazing. I have also used it on many dark colored finishes without hazing.

A cutting pad with the 2.5 will definitely haze the paint. I only use the cutting pad with a PC if the paint is so bad that no matter what I do it will make an improvement.

Wouldnt following it up with SSR1 and a polishing pad correct the hazing?

Im looking to do my brothers car soon and his paint is pretty bad, so I thought about SSR2.5 w/cutting and then follow up with SSR1 w/ polishing.

duh. Sorry I used it on speed 6 and with a orage LC pad. I applied it until it left a slight power. Then it wiped off easy as pie. THANKS

I have horrible webbing in my paint. I have used the white polish pad before and with little to no results. I did not use it on 6 but I dont thing that was the cause. Is there something I can use instead of the ssr1. I dont have any. I have tons of stuff like S100 s100 pre cleaner, nxt spray wax, VM, EX-P.

With those products the VM and S100 pre cleaner would be your best bet.

Sounds like you need a rotary.

na. I just bought the PC. Its only for personal use. Sometimes if I need some extra cash I know several people to call. I am no professional. But there is always someone out there that does nothing to there car except drive it.

Will the s100 pre cleaner work with a white pad? Or would you just use the VM with a white pad to get the polish step done.

I would think that either product would do the job with the polishing pad

cool. Have you ever noticed that there are tiny chunks of stuff in VM. Always thought that was weird. Is the VM as good as the PWC? I know the VM goes on very easy.

What setting would you use to apply it on with a white pad? 3 4 5 6? I understand that the 6 need to be in to get flaws and marks out. But it was quite hard to hold the pc. I had to put the grip assem. on it.

I get hazing too if I work ssr 2.5 in too long. Actually, going over it again and just working the product in a little the 2.5 will remove the hazing as well. Any pre cleaner/polish will get rid of hazing. The white LC polishing pad and ssr2.5 is very effective.

I've been using my Orange Sonus cutting pad with the SSR's: 1, 2, and 2.5. Just got SSR 3, too.

Maybe if we're using the PC 7424 and Speed 6 we shouldn't use the cutting pad unless it's a car where the paint condition is visibly lousy? I'm thinking now that for cars 2-4 years old where the paint is pretty good that a polishing pad is better and/or use less abrasive?

I'm not even gonna try and use SSR 1 on my 5-month old Honda for another year and a half, at the earliest.

Why wouldn't you use ssr 1 on a new car? That is exactly what I'd do.

You could always follow up SSR2.5 on a cutting pad with SSR2.5 on a polishing pad. That will remove the having. VM does more filling than polishing, so it would be just a cover-up.

Yeah, i thought VM was more of a wax than a polish.

If you can get to a napa do so and buy some 3m imperial machine glaze. It's an excellent polish with minimal fillers and should work well with your PC.

The other question you asked VM for a one step? NO it has no protective qualities. It is a great glaze though!!!

man, is glaze and polish the same? I bought SSR2.5 and vm and EX-P hopefully to replace the other steps I use.

man I am even more confused. This is what I have.

s100 wax
s100 pre cleaner
Meguairs 3 step ( hate step 1 and 2, step 3 is ok)
EX-p
VM
SSR2.5
Mothers Pre cleaner
3m swirl mark remove for dark cars
3m compound
Porter Cable 7424
Orange LC pad
White LC pad
Black LC pad
white pad that came with pc

What I am trying to do is remove the swirls/ webbing ( whatever you call it). Then I want to polish the car and then put a sealer on it that will last for a couple of months. I do use quite a bit of Eagles quick and shine between washes. I like to use it after washes because it gives my car a nice pop.

do i use that to remove the hazing? I would prefer to remove the hazing instead of covering it up. Also what about the s100 pre cleaner. I thought I was suspose to use that before the ssr2.5.

should it be ssr2.5, precleaner, vm, ex-p?

sorry guys for being a rookie. I have done tons of reading I just dont want to go out a buy every combonation. I thought I had selected the best swirl remover, polish and sealer.
