Haze/ Streaking with Duragloss 105?

I've used 105 on 2 black vehicles now and each time I've gotten some streaking and haze (leftover product you just push around the paint). Once it was humid, once it was not. Once in the sun, once not. Once with 601 under and one directly after FPII. Once I wetted the applicator with AW and once not.

I've tried everything and it's still got a bunch of left over product on it. I just OEW'ed my bumper to be rid of some bugs and I noticed that the haze is still there after the QEW wipedown. Is anyone else having these problems?

VV..I have never had it streak..but not saying it won;t...but how long did you leave it on before buffing it off...I wait about 45min to a hour....when humid.....and 30-45 minutes when dry....also needs to go on very thin like you do not even see it on the paint....

But if you have this problem I would call Dg and explain to them...you may even have a bad bottle ...but call and ask them.....

You probably applied too much. As AL-53 said, it should be so thin that you can barely see what you've applied. I don't find that AW is really necessary, although 1 spritz is the beginning should be okay.

Since you have a "bunch of left over product on it", then that leads to think that you are applying too much.

I haven't seen it smear on me. I agree, sounds like you may have overapplied 105. It needs to go on *very* thin, razor thin actually. Also, maybe you weren't letting it fully dry before removing? That will lead to smearing it around also. To remove the smears, go over the area with a damp towel and that should take care of it.

A "bunch" of left over product is a bit much. It's just that annoying haze that looks like swirls or holograms in the sun.

I may have been over applying, possibly...

As far as leaving it on goes... All the above applications were varied in time. One thing I noticed every time is that, much like my first experiance with Klasse AIO, when I removed it i could still see the marks from where I swiped it on the paint. Any time that happened I needed to qd those off, or rub them off with more 105.

The looks are good, though not as good (or easy to use) as FMJ. It should last scads longer though making this bit of a learning curve worth it.

This sums it up perfectly in my mind. FMJ is shinier (that "plastic" look, but in a good way). I put on some P21S this past week and felt like it looked pretty similar to what I get from 105.
