Having to clean tinted windows less?

I got my windows tinted a few months ago, and I have noticed that I seem to have to clean my windows much less frequently!



Why is this? My windows used to get this film that was noticeable after a couple weeks. It's been a couple months since I've really cleaned my windows and they still look sparkling clean!

ive noticed this too with tinted windows. some times i think it is because of the tint you cant see the dirt or flim on them as easiley as you could clear glass.

I clean mine about once a week when I wash even though I can't see any dirt or film.

I would agree, but does this phenomenon also happen on factory tinted glass (no film involved)?



Also my windshield, which is not tinted, seems to require less cleaning as well. I wonder if the tint absorbs evaporating solvents from plastics and stuff?

I only have to clean my tinted windows 4-5 times a year, now that you mention it.
