having problems finishing on GM Clear

I've had this problem in the past on GM clear and I never really found a solution,

I bought a new ATS and this car has a flat black (called Black Raven). This was my first flat black car so needles to say, my OCD opression could take only so much

Using 105 to correct produced the results I was looking for ; not perfect for now, just 'better'.

I'm having problems finishing however.

Using LC Blue's and 205) on 2 passes on speed 4-5(7427XP) there's a distinct white haze. With another pass made the situation didn't improve so I switched up to some 1Z high gloss I had, on a fresh blue pad, and another 2 passes moving to speed 5-6, It's very difficult to tell when this product flashes so eventually I stopped when the surface became noticeably hot.

No change.

Then I tried (another) blue pad and some adams Fine Machine polish and another 2 passes. It flashed so quick at speed 5 that It also left me some nice micro-marring. IE- I remembered why I hate the stuff.

It still has this white haze on it.

Ideas?

Also, any recommendations for an easy to use 2 step product and pad choice would be great, the supplies are dwindling and the pads are tatty.

Which side is just m105, and which side is after refining? Could you be leaving behind some of the m105 haze?

Blue LC pads are very soft. M205 likes white, black pads sometimes. I have found blue/red pads to be too soft. I believe they grab/flex too much, causing marring with the pc. This happened on ultra soft paints (which is why I was trying that soft a pad), a NFR and Berlina black S2000. They finined down better with 106fa and black under the da, or ultrafina on the rotary on blue pad.

So get a white and a black pad for the m205, and lets see if the105 haze is being left behind.

Try some Menzerna 106fa or Sonax perfect Finish on a tangerine/white LC pad.

reduce your working area size and clean pad after each section, maintain moderate pressure throughout polishing cycle.

I think I actually do have a white LC pad, I'll give it a twirl, thanks!

sorry for the confusion, left is technically non-finished, the haze being from a bit of sloppiness on my part, the rest being poor lighting.

right is corrected down with 205/various others from 105.

center is uncorrected.

ended up killing it with 3 passes(I didn't check to see if I could accomplish with less) with 205 on a white LC pad. moderate pressure.

excuse the lint as well.
