As all of you IPODians know, your ipod is set to your itunes. And if you hook up to another computer to get songs, you get the message"Ipod is linked to another library. Do you want to switch library's?" If you dont switch, you dont get songs. If you do, you loose all of your current songs. How in the crap can I get both? I have songs on my computer, my buddy has about 1200 on his computer, and my g-friend is making me a "custom" playlist on her computer. I want all of them!

Please help me out, I am driving myself crazy trying to figure this ipod thing out.

I would just like to point out that this is exactly what the Digital Rights Management built into iTunes is for: so you can't share your iTMS purchased songs with anyone else. Circumventing that, while technically unchallenging, is quite illegal. I know of many computer forums that have got into trouble for posting tips on how to do this; some will even ban users simply for asking.

Apparently, there is legal precedence for the forum manager to be held liable. Since this is not a Tech Forum, it's probably in no danger. Nevertheless, Google is your friend...

Where exactly does it say that's what he is trying to do? The problem he illustrates iTunes does whether or not you're using protected content or not. I've fought with iTunes so much I wont even install that piece of crap anymore and I just wont use the iTunes store.

I dont want to start any trouble with my question, I would just like to know. Evidently it's impossible, so I wont try anymore. Oh well
