Just what the title says. I am interested in the Rain-X Self Dry Car Wash. I have a black car and it is hard to dry my car where I am at before it leaves spots. I was think this might help a little bit. Thanks for your opinions.

Yeah. But as the directions say, "take the spray nozel off and the water will sheet," it will do that with any detergent. You're still going to get some beads if the car is well waxed, as I keep mine, but the stream of water approach is great, actually. The soap isn't, however.

B-NIS,

Rain X Self Dry does not self dry at all... No matter what you do.. you still need to wipe your car to make it dry.

Note that this is just my personal experience with the product. Others may have different experience as weather conditions and paint surface may factor in the perfromance of the product.

The following car soap / shampoo I have tried and ranked them according to my own preference, as follows:

1. Eimann Fabrik Power Wash +

> I also use this car soap as a clay lubricant by dilluting the product and placing it on a spray bottle. It does not provide watermarks even if you let it sit and dry on your paint surface for sometime. Easy rinsing as well.

2. Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo

> Never did I experience any watermarks with this product. Very slick and it seems to give life back to your paint surface after washing.

3. Mothers California Gold Car Wash

> About 20% less better in performance than Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo.

4. Meguiars Hi-Tech Wash.

> It sometimes leaves watermarks on my paint surface after washing.

4. Rain X

> I still have 3/4 bottle (21 OZ) left and I only intend to use this product for washing my wheels. I had a lot of watermarks on this product after I used it the first time.

5. Turtlewax ZIP Car Wash Soap

> so so so product...

Jaim, thanks for your quick reviews of the products. It helps more than you know! I think I'll be getting Gold Class next time.
