Has anyone seen Makita 6040?

A few months ago, Makita went on an adventure. Makita wanted to go, thought it would be a good time to go see other parts of the country, get some new experiences, meet new people, make new friends, you know the story. So, I helped him pack up and took him to the post office and away he went.

Makita seemed to be having a good time, I heard reports about him with some pretty regular updates but then... I heard he was headed to a new place but nothing more. No phone calls, no emails, not even a twitter. So, if anyone has seen or heard from my old friend, please let me know. I miss him.

Thanks,

Robert

Wow, I hope you get your machine back!!! I loan lots of machines, so far, so good.

Dangerous for a guy not to respond to you wanting your machine back, seeing as how it's soooo easy to post that info up on forums and Facebook.

I've got about $1,6500.00 worth of machines out on loan right now... if none of those were returned, that would surely put a dent in my pocketbook.

Best of luck!

Kevin,

The thing is, I'd never loan money to a friend if I really needed the money back and I wouldn't have sent the machine off if I absolutely needed it back. If the guy who has it calls me on the phone and says, "Hey Bob, sorry about your machine, I was really crashing hard and needed a fix so I sold it for drugs." I wouldn't be happy about it but I could see it - we've all been there, (kidding) and I'm not going to call him out on it because it's just not that important to me. But he did ruin it for other people, from now on, if they want to try the machine they'll have to do what I did, buy one.

I grew up on a farm, we (family/neighbors) all helped each other out. But, there was "some" folks that you didn't loan anything to, example, buddy of mine loaned an auger to a guy that was going to put up a fence, he got it back 2 years later with a foot or more wore clean off of it.
