Harley Davidson Vivid Black King Tour-Pak (holograms)?

I ordered a Vivid Black King Tour-Pak from HD for my 2008 Street Glide. It has what looks like buffing wheel marks all over it. It came this way from the factory. I do not have a PC and I really don't want to use one on this because there is not a lot of level panel area. Can I get this out by hand? If so, how? Should I make them replace it?



P.S. The white spots are something with the camera.

Just kidding... Without a PC it is hard to remove holograms. If they are indeed holograms I believe you can use something like 1z polishes. Accumulator always suggests those for use by hand.. He will be here to chip in soon, I bet...



Are those deep white things scratches? on pics 3 and 5
 
Harley davidson has been good with me when there is a problem. If you just bought it bring and back and tell them you want it replaced.

No, the paint in flawless minus these buffing marks if that is what they are. There is obviously something wrong with my camera. That is for another forum. :-)

I told the dealer that I would try what I could to get them out by hand. If I am unsatisfied after that the dealer will replace it.
 
I'm pretty sure Accumulator will say try 1z mettalic polish and/or paint polish by hand. Not sure how well it would work for holograms. though.



I never buff anything by hand so I don't even have a "professional" grade polish that works by hand. I use ScratchX every now and then behind door handles.

Harley paint jobs are very nice. In order to achieve the quality they produce, they probably wet sand after they spray to reduce orange peel. The sanding scratches need to be removed with a rotary polisher. Those are not bad holograms, but that is what they appear to be. It could have been caused by the dealer trying to remove a scratch. You can hide them by hand with a good glaze, such as One Grands Omega Glaze. You can also get small orbital buffers that work great on motorcycles.
 
I know you say you don't have or want to use a PC but......



that looks like a very easy fix with a PC I am sure there is some one close

to you with a PC that could help you out
