Hard Water spots....

My gf bought a used RED Nissan PU. Aside from very bad water spots, the truck is in great condition. Last weekend I spent about 2-1/2 hours on just the roof and the hood with somewhat successful results... but I can still see faint water spots.



I used:

Sonus SFX-1 and the pad made for it with my PC turned up all the way. I still have the rest of the truck to go.



Any recommendations of something stronger?



The widows can barely be seen through. Any recommendations for removing the spots from the windows? The previous owner should be shot!
 
Optimum compound and an OCP/OCC mix have gotten off a good deal of marring from some pretty bad cars that I've worked on. Try using a yellow 4" pad. Yes, haze will remain, but that is quickly taken care of with a polishing pad and a light polish.
 
Water spots, or etched paint from water?



Depending on how long you plan on keeping the vehicle, i would be carefull removing etched paint.



SFX 1 @ 2 1.5 hours with a cutting pad is pretty risky if ya ask me.



I would stop and polish out the hazing and leave it be.
