HARD WATER. can it be done safely?

There is no cure!
hey guys. for the past week my house has been undergoing a makeover. currently over that aopst few days they have pressure washing the house, roof ect, and pretty soon, most probably saturday they will be painting the house. keeping my car safe isnt a problem, the problem is that every saturday i wash my car.

they begin working everyday around 6am. the same time i wash it. so instead of waking up early, i plan on driving to the gf's house and washing it there, considering i would be driving there anyway. only probalem is that her parents are finicky about wasting water (even tho washing a car waste a total of 0.19 cents. so id have to use a line that releases well water. this water is very very hard and leaves \nasty spots if not dried well, atleast thats what i can see from looking at their cars.

would washing my car with this be bad? any differences i should be looking for when washing and drying?i plan to do this early before heavy sun, so i would try my best not to let it dry.

thanks

Here in PEI, the water is insanely hard. Runs and droplets leave almost instant marks that are painful to remove. Get the water off quickly, blow out the crevices, and make sure there aren't spots on the bottom of the windshield.

Stop bay any local RV dealer and pick up a water filter....the kind that fits between the faucet and hose....they are pretty cheap and do a decent job of filtering out hard water

Personally, I'd use QEW.

I haven't touched a hose in nearly two years once I started using the stuff on my Grand Prix.

No mess, no rinsing, no scratches, just a few drops of water on the driveway...... and it's CHEAP. You're only using around 1-2 gallons of water. Also, you don't have to worry about hard water spots, because you are wiping off the dirt and then immediately buffing the car dry.

Works great!!!

P.S. ... You'll love it in winter!!!

I find that most hard water spots are from people that neglect to dry the cars off right away or at all...If your going to clean your car once or twice over the next two weeks, while your home area is being used....I would go for it...I suspect that you have a good amount of protection on the car and that should help to cut the spots down to nothing....Follow up the dry car with some QD spray and your good to go. I have hard water here and I yet to have any problems with my cars.
