Hard or Soft water

I'm having the water lines replaced in my garage and adding a hot water line. Currently the cold is right of the main line, before the water softener. Just wondering if I should keep it that way, or tap into the water after the softener. Which is better? Thanks...

I would suggest washing your car with soft water. If I detail a car at my house, that is whay I use.

You just have to remember if you need to water any plants not to use soft water.
