That CC is average 'hard' so the products you have suggested to use should be fine.

Ive noticed that a relatively small scratch on my '01 I30 will NOT come out, no matter how many times I hit it with the PC. Just popped the hood and noticed the "Hard Clear Coat" warning label on the front fender. At least I know its not my procedure. While it might not be the hardest clearcoat, its definitely NOT the softest. So hard to get swirls and minor scratches out of.

This is the first such label Ive ever seen.
Checked out Autopia forums and hard clear coat doesnt seem common on things other than Mercedes/Chrysler (like one of the previous posters asked).
If Nissan/Infiniti "hard clear coat" is just average, Id hate to see above average. I mean, Ive spent at least 1.5-2 hours trying to at least knock down the edges of a scratch in the back door, and you can still see it (but you cant even feel it when running your hand or finger over it). Its really tough stuff, or Im doing something really wrong (doubt that though, I was able to remove other scratches that must have been not as deep).
Brings up another question, should I look for an "extremely soft clear coat" label on my wifes Acura?

I did a jaguar today and I was under the impression that euro cars usually have hard CC's. The jag is always a dream to work with which makes me think it has a softer CC?

Alternates polish:
Menzerna PO106FF and P085RD Polishes were designed to remove very fine (3000 grit) swirls from the new, super-hard, ceramic clear coats; currently being used extensively in Europe and in selected GM and Daimler Chrysler plants here in the US. These are the BASF clear coats being used on the Maybach and 2004-5 Rolls Royce Phantom and PPG's CeramiClear™, which is being used on the 2005 Mercedes C-Class, they can also be used on conventional clear coats. Both of these products have the ability to remove very fine swirls and surface defects in one step while leaving a mirror-like surface.
By using a unique extremely fine, powdered micro abrasive, these particles have an edge so sharp they can "cut" or burnish both ceramic and conventional clear coats. Similar to polishing glass, the smoother you make the paint or clear coat, the greater the reflection.
•Menzerna PO 106F, CAS= 5/10, GS – 5/5, Orange /White Pad, speed # 4.0-5.0, and a machine liner speed (MLS) of 1- feet per second (FPS) If using a HS rotary polisher use 1,500RPM

Wow, some great info here. Do you happen to know what model year Chrysler started using the PPG Ceramiclear? And is it on all Chrysler products, or just some select models?
That's also the first time I've ever seen somebody actually put some numbers down as far as how fast to move the PC over the vehicle. (I'm assuming that's what the "machine line speed" is.) Are those reasonable numbers to use with other polishes as well? I remember having read in several paint correction threads, to slow down and let the machine work, but perhaps I'm going a little too slow after all... When I'd get up around 2 fps, I'd usually think I was going too fast, and conciously slow down my pace a bit, back to maybe .5-1 fps. Perhaps my gut instinct for speed is about right after all?
