Over the last 3 years I have watching a tool in developement to remove door dings. At first, I as many others and maybe yourself, said it would not work. Now it looks like the bugs are out of it. First developed to pull out dents in the autobody industry without drilling a panel, less repair time and then progressed to the pdr industry.

How it works, glue is applied over the door ding and a hook is glued in place (don't worry it wont pull off the finish) then the tool is attached and you simply turn it to pull out the dent out. I personally don't think this will work on all dings - creases and sharp pointed dings. Howerever, no a soft ding no problem. The tool itself reminds me of a windshield bridge -- a plate with 2 suction cups and the puller in the middle.

Additional tools needed, reflection board, tap down punches and a hammer. Is this the answer to learning pdr? no, but to put extra $$$ in your pocket, yes! I can't see anyone paying thousands of $$$ to remove a few dings per month. I am going to purchase one myself to do dents on roofs, and places where there is no access to pop out the ding. Check nodents.com or dingking.com or other places on the web. One cation don't use on 95-96 Gm or Dodge white vehicals, due to paint delamination.

That sounds like a really interesting product. I've been looking into getting involved with paintless dent removal but haven't known quite where to start looking. How much does something like that cost and where would I get one?

check the web - i have seen the price from 199.00 on up, again nodents and dingking.com are 2 places as others. search under pdr tools for other sites.

A great way to go about is this is call the local pdr shop. Out in new york it cost 75.00, just add a mark up to it and it is a lot easier then you doing it yourself.

a great pdr shop is called "dent wizard" they do great work, i am not sure if they teach it though. If needed i can get the phone # for you.
