Just a couple of quick comments on the Handi-Grip Applicator and using a terry pad to apply tire dressing.
I tried out the Handi-Grip Applicator (shop Autopia - I beleive they're Viking) yesterday to apply a coat of UPP. First, it is very comfortable. Second, the pad lays flat while applying product providing good distribution. Third, it takes a bit of product to get the pad initialy loaded for use but afterward very little product is added while continuing around vehicle. Fourth, because of its shape it is slightly more difficult to apply to tighter areas - but this was minor. My next full detail I may use it w/SG-WOO.
Next, I had an old terry cloth pad I was thinking of trashing but thought I'd use to apply some tire dressing. It worked great. It buffed as I applied and did not leave any product 'loose' that could sling or maybe drip down a bit. It does sort of ruin the pad for anything else but I'm thinking you should at least get two applications out of one pad - I really liked the results. Before this I would always use a foam tire pad and then buff a lttle with a paper towel.
