Hand Polishing Techniques and Applicators......

I've searched and searched for this, but haven't found a thread like this. I would like to know what you guys use to get swirl marks out by hand. I have some Microfibers and a CBT from Autopia. These are pretty expensive and I don't want them ruined by my polishes. Most times a 100% cotton towel or applicator is recommended. Where is the best place to obtain these towels? DFtowel?

I get the blue Viking towels they sell at Pep Boys and Target. Viking makes two blue towels, make sure you get the one that is noticably softer and plusher. It has a definite denser weave to it.

I use the two pack Terry applicator pads from Walmart for $1.67. I used the 3M rubbing compound - fine cut by hand to remove water spots, swirls and scratches from the hood of my truck. I used MF from Pakshak to remove and buff the products.

MF's are great for removing polish and some waxes. Some waxes suggest using a Cotton Towel instead of an MF since MF's tend to remove more product, can't remember which at the moment.
