Hand Application

Hello all, I have been detailing my own vehicles for over 3 years now and would like to start doing it on the weekends to make a little more money. I don't have a PC or any type of buffer and was wondering what kind of products to get for hand application. I have been using KAIO on my vehicle with some really good results. I'm not looking for great paint correction since I don't have a PC as of right now, but on down the road when I start saving some money from weekend details, I would like to pick one up. I have a wash mitt already and all the assorted towels, but am just wondering on what kind of products to get for a wax and LSP. Thanks for any input, I greatly appreciate it!

There's far, far too many variables to consider and there is no "best" wax. Not even the $30k one from Zymol.

I think the best course of action is to use the search button and see what other people in a similar position are doing.

If you've been detailing your own vehicles for 3 years by hand, you should already know the answers to yourr questions. Having been there, you're missing the boat w/o a pc. With a pc you can do a much better job, faster, with less product - you should take the plunge...even if just for routine polish and LSP application (and not serious paint correction).

After I posted this, I saw the guide on Swirl Removal in the Detailing Tips section where it tested various products to see which one was easy enough to do by hand. Like I said, I have only really used KAIO and the Sonus Acrylic Spritz (I think that is the one I have) with good results. Thanks for the replies though guys, I really appreciate it.

For by-hand use IMO it's a no-brainer: 1Z brand polishes (especially their Paint Polish) topped with Collinite wax.

Note that I've removed fingernail scratches from hard Audi clear (behind door handles), *by hand* with 1Z stuff (took forever though).
