"Hack" your way around the search pagination problem

To fix this until the admins do, simply add &page=X (where X = 2 through whatever) at the end of the search URL to get to the next page of results. This has worked for me so far. So if you have 90 results and the search shows 20 per page you should have 4 to 5 pages you can sift through.

I know it sucks, but at least you can go about your searches.

So this url:
Code:
http://www.autopia.org/forum/search.php?searchid=314874
turns to
Code:
http://www.autopia.org/forum/search.php?searchid=314874&page=1
and then &page=2 and so on and so forth. Make sure to keep the keyword 'page' (all lower case)

Great tip. It worked for me. I guess their transition to the new server was not as smooth as they had hoped.

Heh heh, check out the big brain on MindFlux :xyxthumbs Gee, seems obvious *now* huh?

Thanks for the tip, appreciate it.

thanks mindflux i thought maybe i messed up some settings. maybe there is a job opportunity for u become admin???????

If the admins ask for my help in fixing some problems I don't think I'd have any problems with that. Though they seem to have enough confidence in themselves to fix it. (if they ever acknowledge it)

Does anyone have a hack for making the admins take notice of the complaints about the new board?

Hi Guys

we are really working on the issues as fast as we can. There are some bugs in the new upgrade of vB 4 and they are looking in to it as well.

We even upgraded the server to the highest available offered. But that helped a little.

Yeah I saw a parallels visualization page one day when Autopia was down. If you guys are using a virtualized server (VPS) you ought to consider moving up to a dedicated server with ANOTHER company. GoDaddy is first and foremost a registrar.. they started doing hosting 'just because' they could. It doesn't mean they are good at it.

We are on a dedicated server quad with 8 gig ram is the best they offer. We r also looking to migrate to another company

When did you migrate to dedicated? Like I said I saw your parallels virtualization page one day when autopia was having fits. I thought for sure you guys were using a VPS. (Virtual private server which is NOT dedicated)
