GYEON Q2 RIM on Chrome wheels?

Anyone use this on chrome wheels? Think it will adhere/perform well?

Thanks

I would imagine as long as you prep the wheel properly, you should be fine.

From the GYEON website: SUITABLE FOR EVERY TYPE OF RIM

There are various wheel rim types available on the market, e.g. wet painted, powder coated, anodized or polished. Q2 Rim is an appropriate product to secure each and every one of them. Even the owners of models with polished lips have registered that the need to refresh the so-called mirror effect, in comparison with other rim protective products, is significantly less frequent.

I think Mike Lambert is the resident Gyeon Expert, maybe he can confirm based on his experience.

Yeah, did read that in various descriptions...but since chrome wasn`t specifically mentioned (and is a rather common wheel material) figr`d someone with actual experience could confirm. You know, that whole `But I read it on the Internet...` thing. And Googling `Gyeon Q2 Rim chrome` really didn`t hit anything specific.

Use this product with confidence, polish as usual and wipe with GYEON prep with a non lint microfiber towel. Apply with a 100PPI foam applicator evenly and wipe with a clean towel then a second wipe with another finish wipe towel(All towels non-lint of course).

If you have IR curing lamp utilize that (10 minutes for the face and 10 minutes for the barrel), if not let the wheel cure on its own and do not let the wheel get wet for 24 hours......................done.

I am a certified GYEON detailer and use this product at least once a month and it is outstanding in performance.

Better with foam applicator or the GYEON applicator + suede cloths? Gonna need to use some kinda `something` to get in these wheels (among others):

I do it all the time, no problems on chrome.

Excellent....looking forward to using this stuff...sounds like a winner. I hate cleaning wheels all the time.

Thanks

All this Gyeon talk and I am sitting here browsing Esoteric with $300 worth of product in cart . AUTOPIA NEEDS GYEON RAY!

I saw and unfortunately I don`t anymore. I had to restrict my buying habit somehow so I didn`t renew it.

Lol I did this too after I signed up for Connect last year. But I just renewed my Prime about a month ago. Just figured I`d let people know that it`s there too.

Prices are better at the local east coast dealer and you even get to ask questions on application.

Amazon is going to efficiently and effectively kill the local distributor for everything and then all you will hear is people crying on the internet that the product did not work and this stinks bla bla bla.

Case in point. I used Gyeon on my new ride in March. Mhos, booster, rim, trim, fabric coat, leather coat and tire. Purchased at Detailers Domain, Was very happy with everything and the products worked well. I decided to buy Bathe + thinking it must be better than Bathe. So when I got it, I is see the + is that it tops up the coating which I did not really need since it was new but what the hay.

Use the product like a regular wash and I get some random streaking on the paint and glass. I did get it off by re washing with Bathe+ and scrubbing out the random streaks with a Mit and flood rinsing fast. Me no likey extra work- so I emailed detailers domain and they responded wash 1 panel and rinse, don`t let it set up at all. Used Bathe + again, just to check and problem solved. Try asking the CSR via email at Amazon to help you with that. ahh... NO.

People want, and expect service but don`t want to pay for it. Funny how that works. Maybe its just a sore spot for me because I am a brick and motar distributor.

The products are sold directly by Gyeon and fulfilled by Amazon as opposed to being sold and fulfilled solely by Amazon... Shouldn`t your gripe be with them?

I have no qualms doing my research and buying from Amazon. Been doing it for ten years for every manner of product imaginable and I`ll keep doing so if they offer good customer service(which they do) and a good selection.

Understood. What you loose with Amazon is the expertise not the customer service.

Wait till you see what happens when your local business can`t compete with xyz item and go out. Empty stores, no school taxes generated and then Amazon will hike prices and you`ll be stuck.

It`s a monster company and yes I do buy select items on Amazon mostly because it easier than chasing small odd items and I have prime.

Definitely. People would come into Best buy when I worked there and ask questions then go buy on Amazon. That kind of stuff is really unfortunate because it damages smaller businesses much more.
